Blue Ridge Wedding Photographer:
Well hello again! I’m Stacie Hart and I am a North Georgia wedding photographer. I’ve been working on a new series of questions that will help you ask questions to your wedding photographer to make sure you are the right fit.
Our first question for your wedding photographer was: What is your style? You can find that here.
Our next question we will discuss is:
This question my friends can be so different per photographer. Some photographers will say 5 while others say 200-300. While some of the new ones in the business will say around 50-60. If they haven’t been in business for very long this might be very small. They might be giving you a deal because they haven’t shot many weddings or they might not be giving you a deal at all but STILL have not shot many weddings.
The key things to listen for is how groomed and flexible they are with you. Do they have a contract? Are they a legal business? These are some things that newbies might not have and that would be a red flag. If they are not professional enough to have a contract for your big day I would encourage you to look for someone else. I don’t want to get off topic but a contract is just as important for you as it is for the photographer. You want to be safe if heaven forbid they “forget” or “don’t show up”. Also, ask if they are sick do they have a back-up photographer.
So this question although is a great one doesn’t have an exact answer. A seasoned photographer with multiple weddings under their belt, will be flexible, accommodating, and will go a little smoother. Also with a photographer with multiple weddings you will be able to see full weddings shot by this photographer as well as reviews from other brides. If a photographer has second shot at more weddings than they have been the 1st photographer doesn’t make it a bad photographer. This just means they were able to follow a good photographer. Ask who their mentor or who they second shot with, most likely their work will be somewhat similar for a time right after photographing with them.
I hope that you are getting some ideas from these post.
